You will need to have someone drive you home after the operation. You will also need to rest your eyes for the remainder of the day as much as possible.

Typically, it takes up to a month for your eyes to heal completely following cataract surgery however, each person is different. Your doctor will talk to you about your specific healing time, what to expect, and when it is safe for you to resume normal everyday activities such as driving.

Driving can usually be commenced from two to three days after cataract surgery and this will be confirmed by your surgeon and also depends on your refractive correction and general eye condition.
